Chandigarh Acting on the complaint of sexual harassment by the Punjab government, Deputy Secretary Krishna Kumar Singla has been forcibly retired from government service.
Giving this information, the official spokesman said that this officer was posted as Deputy Secretary (under trial period) in the Punjab Civil Secretariat and after completing the age of 58 years as per the instructions of the government, the increase in service for the year before 01.09.2019 Was going on A complaint of sexual harassment was made against this officer by the female senior assistant posted under it. After which, given the seriousness of the defects in the complaint against the officer on behalf of the female employee, the complaint of the Secretariat Administration was referred to the Internal Compliance Committee Against Sexual Harassment of Women.
The spokesperson further stated that the report was presented to the Secretariat Administration on March 3, 2020 on behalf of this committee, in which the complaint against Krishna Kumar Singla, Deputy Secretary (under investigation), on behalf of the concerned woman senior assistant, proved to be defective. Taking serious notice on the report presented, the Chief Minister, Punjab ordered that the officer should be forcibly retired from the job with immediate effect. Acting according to these orders, Deputy Secretary Krishna Kumar Singla was forcibly retired from the secretariat administration.
