new Delhi. At WWDC 2014, Apple has further improved its app privacy feature. Users have always been very conscious about data privacy. Apple has also announced the app privacy feature with the new iOS 14, keeping in mind the data privacy of the users. Through this new App Privacy feature, users will be able to track whether an app is sharing their location data. Also, it will be possible to find out if an app has accessed the device’s mic and camera. If this happens, the user will get this information through an inticator in the display.
Apple senior vice president, software engineering Craig Federigi, announcing the feature, said, “All our products are within the scope of privacy principles.” Through these new features, users can limit their location information. Apple has added a recording indicator for this. As soon as the device’s camera or microphone is activated, this indicator will start blinking near the status bar.
This new update from Apple will not share the location information of users’ devices through any app and will limit it. Also, Apple has added a recording indicator with this feature so that the stator will look like an orange dot on the bar. Apple has also introduced the label for app permission. Which will decide how much data will be necessary for any app. This feature will be available to the user with these two categories, in which users will be able to see the link data with the app and the data used in the track. In addition, Apple has also introduced third party app blocking and location tracking blocking feature with iOS 14.
