Bhopal. After the Rajya Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh, preparations for the by-elections to be held in 24 assembly constituencies have intensified. While the Congress is trying to make rigging a big issue, the BJP has stepped up the steps to make Dalit neglect a big issue.
The bypolls are due in 24 assembly constituencies in the state, including 22 seats where the Congress won the 2018 assembly elections, but due to the resignation of these MLAs and joining the BJP, the government of Kamal Nath Had fallen
At the same time, in the recently held three seats of the Rajya Sabha, the BJP won on two and the Congress on one. The Congress nominated Digvijay Singh and Dalit leader Phool Singh Baraiya. In which former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh won the election but Baraiya had to face defeat. At the same time, two BJP candidates, former Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Sumer Singh Solanki have won.
After the Rajya Sabha elections, both the major political parties have started preparations in their own way. The rounds of meetings of leaders of both the parties to the constituency level leaders are continuing.
The Congress is making a big issue about the ex-union minister Scindia leaving the party, including 22 MLAs, and directly accusing them of cheating. Former minister Subhash Sojatia said that the people of the state had given a mandate to the Congress for five years but due to political selfishness and power gluttony, the government of Kamal Nath was reduced to a minority. These are the people who have disobeyed the mandate and will have to bear the consequences in the upcoming by-elections.
At the same time, the BJP is accusing the Congress of neglecting Dalits for the Rajya Sabha elections. Election Management Committee convenor and former minister Bhupendra Singh says that Congress has been consistently ignoring people belonging to scheduled castes and scheduled tribes and the same has happened in Rajya Sabha elections. To make Dalit leader Phool Singh Baraiya a candidate, but to defeat him, this is the real character of the Congress.
Let me tell you here that out of the 24 assembly seats to be contested, 16 of these seats come from Gwalior Chambal area and this is the area under the influence of Jyotiraditya Scindia. Not only this, there is also a large number of voters belonging to scheduled castes and tribes. The results of many assembly seats are decided by the voters of this class.
Political analysts believe that the Congress has inadvertently placed a major political issue in the hands of the BJP. The Congress has been continuously using party-changing leaders as a weapon to attack the BJP.
At the same time, the issue of Dalit neglect has also been felt in the hands of BJP. The by-elections will be interesting, as both the parties do not have any major issues yet, so their emphasis is more on the issue. This is why issues like betrayal and dalit neglect are seen initially. It will not come as a surprise if the issues change with political politics till the close of the election.
