The Akshay Kumar starrer hit the theatres on April 18, a week after the release of Sunny Deol’s action drama ‘Jaat’. It gave a tough competition to Sunny Deol’s film. According to the makers, ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ collected Rs 7.84 crore on the opening day. While on the second and third day, it earned Rs 10.08 crore and Rs 11.70 crore respectively. Thus, it earned Rs 29.62 crore by its first weekend.
After a great weekend, the real test of the film came on the fourth day of its release, in which it failed. On the first Monday, ‘Kesari 2’ collected Rs 4.50 crore. While on the fifth day, the film’s earnings saw a jump. The film earned Rs 5.04 crore on the first Tuesday. After 5 days, the total collection of Akshay Kumar’s courtroom drama became Rs 39.16 crore.

On the sixth day of release (April 23), the collection of ‘Kesari 2’ saw a decline. According to Sacnilk, till 8 pm on April 23, Akshay Kumar’s film earned around Rs 2.26 crore across India.
