Sanju Samson said after losing in the super over
We will inspect this defeat tomorrow and see how it is. I think we bowled really well. There were some stages where he dominated us. But I would like to give credit to all my bowlers and fielders. I felt that the score was definitely achievable, but as we all saw it was a brilliant over from Starc. I would like to give credit to Mitchell Starc, I think he won the game for them in the 20th over. The plan for the Super Over was to go hard. You know he is going to come hard at you, so we had to work harder at him.”
Sanju Samson said about Sandeep Sharma who bowled the powerplay over for Rajasthan Royals, “I think he has been bowling the toughest over for me for the last few years. I am very lucky to have someone like him with me. The way Jofra supported him and everyone played around him, but in the end Starc took the match away from us.”
Sanju Samson got injured
Talking about the powerplay over, Shimron Hetmyer and Riyan Parag came out to bat for Rajasthan Royals, Riyan Parag was run out on the fourth ball. After this Yashasvi Jaiswal came to bat but Hetmyer played the last ball. Rajasthan scored 11 runs in the powerplay. Sanju Samson did not come to bat because he was injured. He said after the match, “I am feeling pretty fine now. I could not bat in the powerplay because I was in pain and was not ready to come back and bat.”
