Siddharthnagar. A woman from Chilhiya police station area tied her husband to a tree and beat him up over a property dispute. Later, when the police came to know about the incident, they freed the man and also challaned the woman for disturbing the peace.
Gaurishankar, a resident of village Teknar in Chilhiya police station area, was married 20 years ago in village Karauna. Later, he married a young woman from Bhavpur and left his first wife. Gaurishankar also has a son from his first wife. His first wife started living with her son in her maternal home in Karauna.
After the second marriage, Gaurishankar and his first wife started having disputes over property division almost every day. There was an altercation between the two sides on this matter on Friday as well. After this, the first wife tied Gaurishankar to a tree in Teknar and also beat him up badly.
Someone made a video of this and circulated it on the internet media. However, Dainik Jagran does not confirm the circulated video. When the incident came to the notice of the police after some time, they reached the spot and freed Gaurishankar.
Chilhiya police station in-charge Durga Prasad says that Gaurishankar has married twice. His father sold most of his property. Whatever property was left, his mother inherited it in the name of the children of Gaurishankar’s second wife. Now Gaurishankar has a dispute with his first wife every day regarding the property.
Pradhan’s husband and relatives accused of demolishing the old Panchayat Bhawan

The head representative and his family members are trying to build their own building on the land by claiming that the Panchayat Bhawan has been built on their own land. SDM Dumariyaganj Dr. Sanjeev Dixit said that the Tehsildar has been directed to investigate. Further action will be taken after the report comes.
