In Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, a mufti was accused of doing wrong things with a Dalit girl on the pretext of exorcising her. The girl was ill, her parents took her to the mufti for exorcising her. After recovering, she used to go to the mufti for exorcising her when she was ill. According to the girl, the mufti used to call her through Jinnad.
The mufti used to do wrong things with her. The mufti used to say that he would not let her get married. He would marry her and keep her with him. The police have registered a case against the mufti on charges of assault, indecency and threat. In such a situation, questions are being raised on the action of the police for registering a case under light sections after the sensational allegation.
She used to go to the mufti for exorcising
The town of Beniganj is in the Kotwali Beniganj area of Hardoi district, where a Dalit girl has made sensational allegations against a mufti. According to the 22-year-old girl, she used to be ill. Hence, in November 2023, her parents took her to Mufti Imran, a resident of Krishna Nagar locality of the town, for exorcism. After this, her health improved. Whenever the girl felt unwell, she used to go to Imran for exorcism.

According to the victim, Imran had bad intentions towards her. Mufti Imran used to call her through Jinnad and then do bad things with her. Mufti Imran used to threaten the girl that he would not let her get married and he would marry her. The girl has complained about the matter to the police and the police have registered a case on the girl’s complaint. Police say that the girl used to go to Imran when she was sick. Imran used to do tantric activities with her and used to call her and harass her. He used to do dirty and obscene acts with her.
