The matter is of H Block of Sector-12. Here on Friday, the dead body of an 82-year-old elderly person was found in a rotten state inside a house. The elderly person was identified as Harilal. When the foul smell came from the house, the daughter and son-in-law of the elderly person suspected something untoward and they informed the police about it. The surprising thing was that for four days, the daughter and son-in-law of the elderly person living in the same house could not get to know about the death.
Sector-24 police station in-charge said that on Friday, the police received information that a lot of foul smell was coming from inside a three-storey house located in H Block. Police reached the spot. When they saw here, the door of the middle floor was closed from inside and the foul smell was continuing to come. When the police broke the door and went inside, 82-year-old Harilal was found lying dead on the cot. The stuff inside the room was scattered. The body had started rotting due to lying on the cot for many days and insects had started infesting it.
Police was informed when the foul smell started coming
The back of the elderly was also completely peeled due to lying on the cot. To know the cause of death, the police took the body in their custody and sent it for postmortem. It is being told that Harilal was ill for some time. According to the police, on Friday, when the foul smell started coming more from the room, the daughter and son-in-law of the elderly called the police. The reason for death will be known only after getting the postmortem report.
Daughter and son-in-law were living in the same house
According to the police, Harilal’s daughter and son-in-law live on the ground and second floor of the three-storey house. Both of them had stopped talking to the elderly. The son lives in B Block and has converted to another religion. Despite being old, Harilal used to cook his own food. Harilal died about four days ago. The family did not come and see why the door of the room was closed for four days. At present, the police is investigating the case from every angle.
