Recently, a controversy has arisen due to the posting of a picture of former porn star Mia Khalifa on a hoarding during a religious festival. After this, there was an uproar. Controversial hoarding in religious festival
Actually this hoarding was seen on the occasion of ‘Aadi’ festival, when Goddess Amman i.e. Parvati ji was being worshipped in temples across the state. This incident caused a lot of anger among the local people. According to reports, many hoardings and colorful lights were installed for the decoration of the festival in Nagathamman and Selliamman temples. But people were surprised to see Mia Khalifa’s picture and pictures of gods on one of these hoardings. Along with the picture of Mia Khalifa on this hoarding, the people who put up the hoarding also put their own photos.
When the pictures of this controversial hoarding went viral on social media, the local police immediately took action. The police removed the hoarding and started investigating the matter.
Chaos caused by Ferry wheel breaking
Earlier, during the ‘Adi Perukku’ festival, a 50-foot high Ferry wheel at the Sabramania Swamy temple broke and started tilting to the left, causing panic among the people present there.
The construction process of this swing was termed illegal. At the time of the incident, people sitting in the bucket of the swing got frightened when the huge wheel started tilting to the left. The officials immediately took action and deployed security and the swing was removed from there. All the affected people were evacuated safely.

After the incident, security forces reached the spot and repaired the swing and secured all the victims. The local administration has assured to take necessary steps to prevent such incidents in future.
