Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has decided the responsibilities of ministers for the by-elections of assembly seats. 30 ministers have been assigned duty for the by-elections to be held in 10 assembly constituencies. Yogi has asked the ministers in charge to spend two nights a week in the areas where by-elections are to be held. Along with maintaining social equations, the ministers have been entrusted with the responsibility of implementing the government’s schemes and projects on the ground. Two to four ministers in each assembly constituency The development works that have not been completed have been asked to be completed on a war footing before the by-elections. Along with communicating at the booth level, instructions have also been given to the ministers in the meeting to replace booth presidents who are inactive due to any reason. In the meeting held at the official residence of the Chief Minister on Wednesday, two to four ministers have been assigned duty in each assembly constituency. In the meeting, the Chief Minister has given the target of victory to the ‘Super-30’ team of his ministers regarding the by-elections. By-elections are to be held on these seats
By-elections are to be held in Sisamau assembly constituency of Kanpur including the constituencies of nine MLAs who became MPs in the Lok Sabha elections. This seat has fallen vacant after SP MLA Irfan Solanki was declared ineligible.
Apart from this, the nine assembly constituencies in which by-elections are to be held include Karhal, Kundarki, Katehari, Milkipur which were occupied by SP. Phulpur, Khair and Ghaziabad assembly constituencies were occupied by BJP, Meerapur by NDA’s ally RLD and Majhawan by Nishad Party.
These ministers have been given the command of by-elections
Meerapur – In-charge Minister Anil Kumar, State Minister Somendra Tomar and KP Malik.
Kundarki – In-charge Minister Dharampal Singh, State Minister JPS Rathore, Jaswant Saini and Gulab Devi.
Ghaziabad – In-charge Minister Sunil Sharma, State Minister Brajesh Singh and Kapildev Agarwal.
Khair – In-charge Minister Lakshmi Narayan Chaudhary and State Minister Sandeep Singh have been appointed.
Karhal – In-charge Minister Jaiveer Singh and Yogendra Upadhyay. Minister of State Ajit Pal Singh.
Sisamau- Minister in charge Finance Minister Suresh Khanna and Minister of State Nitin Agarwal.
Phoolpur- Minister in charge Rakesh Sachan and Minister of State Dayashankar Singh.
Milkipur- Minister in charge Surya Pratap Shahi and Minister of State Mayankeshwar Sharan Singh, Girish Chandra Yadav and Satish Chandra Sharma.
Katehari- Minister in charge Swatantra Dev Singh and Sanjay Nishad. Minister of State Dayashankar Mishra.
Majhawan- Minister in charge Anil Rajbhar and Ashish Patel. Minister of State Ravindra Jaiswal and Ramkesh Nishad.
Role of Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Maurya and Brajesh Pathak not decided yet
Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak have not attended the meetings held so far regarding the by-election. They were not called in the Chief Minister’s meeting on Wednesday as well. There is speculation about why both are being kept away from the by-election.
According to party sources, their role will be decided by the organization in the coming time. Being the star campaigner of the party, he will be sent to campaign in all the assembly constituencies. Everyone will be called in the meeting to be held at the organization level soon regarding the by-election.
After the party’s poor performance in the Lok Sabha elections, in the state working committee meeting held last Sunday, the Chief Minister had set the target of winning the by-elections on all 10 seats. Earlier, State President Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary and General Secretary (Organization) Dharampal Singh had appointed ministers in charge for the by-elections.
