A major accident has happened in Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh. A balcony fell here while watching the Moharram Tazia. The roof of a house collapsed while watching the Moharram Tazia at around 7 pm on Wednesday evening. More than 50 people have been injured in this accident. The number of injured may increase now. According to the information, a child has died in the accident. There was a lot of screaming on the spot after the incident. At present the debris is being removed.
In the Sakrava police station area of the district, mourning spread in the Moharram procession late in the evening when the balcony of a house broke and fell on the people involved in the procession. Many people were standing on the balcony of the house and watching the Moharram Tazia. The balcony fell directly on the people due to being overloaded. After the accident, there was chaos in the procession. People started running here and there. A large number of women and children were buried under the debris of the balcony.
There is no electricity arrangement in the hospital
The local people took out the injured and admitted them to the nearby government hospital. A child died during treatment here while more than two dozen people are seriously injured and are being treated. As soon as the information of the accident was received, the police administration officials reached the spot. According to the local people, when the injured were brought to the hospital, there was no electricity arrangement there. Due to this, the relatives of the injured were seen fanning themselves with their hands in the scorching heat. According to the information, the name of the teenager who died was Gufran, whose age is 12 years.

More than two dozen injured people including injured women have been admitted to different hospitals. The incident has created panic among the relatives. At the same time, as soon as so many patients came together, there was chaos in the hospital. As soon as the information was received, many officials including ASP reached the spot. During the procession of Tazia in Syedabad Mohalla of Sakarava, the balcony of Ishra Mansoori’s house fell. 14 injured have been admitted to CHC. From there, the relatives took all the injured to different hospitals in critical condition. The incident has created a furore among the relatives. On receiving the information, ASP Dr. Sansar Singh, CO Omkar Nath Sharma, Inspector-in-charge Digvijay Singh and police from all the posts reached the spot and started the rescue work.
