Agra: The Income Tax Department on Saturday simultaneously raided more than a dozen locations of three big shoe businessmen. Among these, cash worth more than Rs 60 crore was found at the residence of Ramnath Dang, proprietor of Harmilap Traders located in Jaipur House. These notes were filled in beds, boxes and shelves. Due to overheating of some machines, notes were being counted even after 12 o’clock in the night by ordering new machines.
The raid is likely to uncover undisclosed income of more than Rs 100 crore. Information about large scale investment in land and purchase of gold has also been received from all three businessmen. Documents of big investment in land near Fatehabad Inner Ring Road have been found.

The team recovered the maximum cash during the operation at the Jaipur House residence of Ramnath Dang of Harmilap Traders.

Machines were ordered from banks to count the notes. According to official sources involved in the raid, cash worth Rs 60 crore had been counted till midnight, but a lot of notes still remained uncounted. There were piles of Rs 500-500 notes lying on the bed.
