Ikona (Shravasti). While trying to save the destitute cattle near Adhuapur on the Buddhist circuit, the car collided with a tree and fell into a roadside ditch. Six people, including a woman, a girl and two children, were killed in it, while the injured driver is being treated at Ikouna CHC.
Vaibhav Gupta, a resident of Tribhuvan Chowk, Nepal Ganj, along with seven people had come to a relative in Balrampur city on Saturday by car. Were going back to Nepalganj on Saturday night around 8.30 pm. In the meanwhile, in the Buddhist circuit near Adhuapur of Ikona area, in order to save the destitute cattle, the car went uncontrolled and collided with the tree and overturned in the ditch on the roadside.
Inspector-in-charge Mahila Nath Upadhyay, who arrived on the information, got the injured out by cutting the door of the car with a cutter. Ikona was sent to CHC with the help of an ambulance. Here doctors declared five including two children, a woman, girl policy, Nilansh Gupta dead. Seeing the critical condition, Vaibhav was referred to District Hospital Bahraich. He also died here. Injured driver Ajay Mishra resident of Barohara, Nanpara Bahraich is undergoing treatment at CHC.
