Jattari (Aligarh): A major accident took place on Monday morning at Tappal on the Yamuna Expressway. Two cars going from Agra to Noida collided with each other in which seven people were injured. Seeing the accident, five youths of Mathura’s Naujheel, who were going for duty at Jewar Airport, stopped and started evacuating the injured from the car. Out of these, three youths and the injured woman were run over by a speeding tourist bus coming from Agra.
All the three youths died on the spot. The seven injured were admitted to Kailash Hospital in Noida, where the injured woman also succumbed to her injuries. After the accident, the driver fled leaving the bus. There was a traffic jam for some time. Police have registered two cases against the unidentified truck driver.
The accident took place in front of JS Academy located at Devaka village at point number 58 at around 5.30 am on Monday. WagonR and Swift DZire cars going from Agra to Noida collided with each other. Jogendri, a resident of village Malav in Tappal area, was returning from Vrindavan (Mathura) with her daughter Hema and Pooja, Dhewate Dev and son-in-law Yogesh in Swift Desire. Yogesh was driving the car.
Moharpal, a resident of Elau, Mainpuri, was going to AIIMS (New Delhi) in WagonR to show his son Madhavram. Amir was driving the car. Both the vehicles collided during the overtake. Meanwhile, Pushpendra s/o Bhav Singh, resident of Awakheda of Mathura police station Nauhjeel area, Pushpendra’s son Sugreev Singh, Praveen and Dharamveer, residents of Badhai Katalia village of Nauhjeel area, Rahul resident of village Sindhauli were going to Jewar airport on two bikes.
Everyone works as a security guard at the airport. Seeing the accident, the five youths stopped. He pulled out Dev who was stuck in Swift Dzire. The windows of the car were not opening.
In such a situation, the youth started trying to evacuate the other injured. That’s why the double decker bus of Haryana number trampled them. Pushpendra’s son Bhav Singh, Pushpendra’s son Sugriv Singh, Praveen died in this. Jogendri, Hema, Pooja, Dev, Yogesh, Moharpal and Madhavraj were admitted by the police to the hospital, where Jogendri also lost his life.
The tourist bus hit the car. In this, three young men and women who were helping the injured have died. Two cases have been registered against the truck driver. The search is on for the driver.
