Unnao: Troubled by the intimation of her husband’s second marriage, the wife, along with the team of Sakhi One Stop Center and the police, created a ruckus by reaching the guest house at IBP Chauraha. After the ruckus that lasted till late night, the police registered a report on eight including husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law and detained four people. The wife alleges that the divorce case filed by the husband is pending in the court, yet she has remarried.
Imran, a resident of Awas Vikas Colony of Sadar area, was married to Saba Bano on 14 October 2021. Saba alleges that after a few months of marriage, husband Imran Ahmed, mother-in-law Hamida, sister-in-law Shaheen and father-in-law Anwar Ahmed started torturing her for dowry. If the demand of Rs 1.50 lakh and a car was not met, the husband threatened to divorce and get married again. When the demand was not met, he was thrown out of the house.
Filed a divorce case in the court as well. Despite the case being pending, the in-laws, along with Mounis Siddiqui, Mouvis’s uncle Naseem Haji and Akram resident of Jail Gate Chowki, got her husband married on May 16, 2023 at around eight o’clock in the Shehnai Guest House. Gave a complaint letter to the police officers many times to stop the marriage, but due to no action, the husband got married for the second time.
Saba Bane reached ADM Narendra Singh on Tuesday night. On which he directed Probation Officer Renu Yadav. In the night, the woman reached the Sakhi One Stop Center crying. From here Jyoti Yadav took her to Shehnai Guest House and called the police team. On hearing about her husband’s second marriage, Saba created a lot of ruckus and was adamant on registering the report.
Sadar Kotwal Rajesh Pathak told that on the basis of Tahrir, reports have been registered on husband Imran, mother-in-law Hamida, father-in-law Anwar Ahmed, sister-in-law Shaheen, Naseem Haji, Akram and Gufran Ahmed. Four including uncle are being interrogated in custody.
