Agra: When the saffron fort became strong in the civic elections, the forts of the opponents collapsed. In rising temperature, BJP candidate Hemlata blossomed like a flower after winning a landslide victory. In the beginning, the elephant, who was intoxicated, got lost in the calculation of the ninth cycle. After this he could not get up. Hemlata defeated BSP candidate Dr. by more than one lakh votes. Won by defeating Lata. This is the biggest victory till date, since 1989 BJP has held the post of Mayor continuously. The deposits of SP, Congress and AAP candidates were forfeited.
In the first round of vote counting, the BSP candidate took a lead of five thousand votes over the BJP candidate, the BSP candidate remained ahead for eight rounds. The increase reached up to 21 thousand. After the ninth round, the BJP candidate was ahead by 1306 votes, after the 15th round the lead reached 39 thousand.
After the 18th cycle the lead reached 75 thousand. After 21st round, BJP candidate was declared victorious by 108468 votes. In 2017 elections, BJP’s mayoral candidate Naveen Jain won by 74332 votes, this is a bigger victory than that.
BJP got every second vote on the post of mayor
BJP’s mayoral candidate Hemlata Diwakar got 50.87 percent votes, BJP got every second vote. Whereas in 2017, BJP got 42.77 percent votes. Votes of BSP candidate also increased but could not reduce the margin of defeat. In 2017, BSP candidate got 28.18 votes, this time the vote percentage increased to 30.28 percent.
