Auraiya: The Economic Offenses Investigation Team, Kanpur, on Saturday evening caught the Atsu outpost in-charge of Ajitmal area, taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 in the name of registering a case after ignoring the victim’s complaint. Rs has also been recovered from the accused. Stat ements of both have been taken along with the victim. After this, the accused outpost incharge was brought to Auraiya Sadar Kotwali for questioning. This case created a stir in the police department.

Ramji Parihar, a resident of Atsu town, was circling the outpost for several days regarding some matter. His words were not being heard. He alleges that money was demanded from in-charge Suresh Chandra. While writing the report, it was said to put charge sheet in the discussion.
He complained about this to the officials of the Economic Offenses Investigation Department, Kanpur. The team became active on this. On Saturday, a trap was laid to catch the outpost in-charge red-handed and he was caught. Superintendent of Police Charu Nigam said that the information has been received. Case will be filed. Also, action will be taken to suspend Suresh.
