Lucknow. Singing of national anthem every day has been made compulsory in all madrasas of Uttar Pradesh from Thursday. SN Pandey, Registrar of the Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Education Board, had issued an order in this regard to all the District Minority Welfare Officers on May 9. During the month of Ramadan, a holiday was declared in madrasas from March 30 to May 11 and regular classes started from May 12, so this order has come into effect from Thursday.
Singing of the national anthem started in all madrasas of Uttar Pradesh ahead of the commencement of classes from Thursday. The decision of the national anthem was taken by the Madrasa Board in its meeting on March 24, before the classes started. Madarsas are open only on 12th May after the declared annual holiday in madrasas due to Ramzan. In such a situation, singing of the national anthem has been compulsorily started along with other prayers before the start of classes.
SN Pandey, Registrar of the Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Education Board, has said in the order that according to the decision taken in the board meeting on March 24, the national anthem has been made mandatory in all madrassas at the time of prayer from the new academic session. He has sent a letter to all the minority welfare officers saying that singing the national anthem with dua will be mandatory in every madrassa before the class starts in the morning.
An important meeting was held on March 24 under the chairmanship of Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed Javed, President of Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Education Council, as part of the campaign being run by the Yogi Adityanath government for the improvement of madrassas. In which many important decisions were taken. In the same meeting, it was also decided to make singing of the national anthem compulsory every day. In this regard, orders were issued to all the District Minority Welfare Officers in this regard.
It has been said in the order that before the commencement of classes from the upcoming academic session in all recognized aided and non-aided madrasas of the state, teachers and students will have to compulsorily sing the national anthem along with other prayers. The District Minority Welfare Officers will have to monitor regularly to ensure compliance of this order.
Teachers will be prepared for online studies: The state government is now going to prepare teachers for online studies in madrassas. For this the help of Diksha Portal of National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) will be taken. Online training will be provided to Madrasa teachers through the portal. The board is now engaged in mobilizing basic facilities for online studies in madrassas. When schools and colleges were closed during the lockdown, the central government had started the initiation portal and mobile app for online education. Due to the lack of online education, the maximum loss was caused to the students studying in madrassas.
Decision to get online training: Studying from class one to masters can be done easily on the Diksha portal. There is learning material available in multiple languages for all subjects and classes. SN Pandey, Registrar of Madrasa Board informed that in the board meeting, it has been decided to provide online training to the madarsa teachers through the Diksha portal. Now a letter will be written soon to give training to NCERT. There are 16,513 madrasas in the state, in which about 40 thousand teachers teach. Madrasa Board will provide training to all these teachers.
