Narendra Giri dies: The CBI will now investigate the death of Mahant Narendra Giri, president of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad President, the largest organization of saints in Prayagraj. On the orders of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Ministry of Home Affairs has given its approval. The Home Department has sent a recommendation to the Central Government for a CBI inquiry into the matter. On Monday evening, Narendra Giri (60) was found dead in the room at the rest house of Shri Math Baghambri Gaddi. Its investigation is currently being done by an 18-member SIT. Three people have also been arrested.
Additional Chief Secretary Home Avnish Kumar Awasthi says that there will be a CBI inquiry into the death of Mahant Narendra Giri under suspicious circumstances. This information has been shared from the official Twitter handle of the Home Department. Mahant Narendra Giri died under suspicious circumstances on Monday evening. His disciple Anand Giri and Aadya Tiwari have been arrested on the basis of suicide note from the spot. Since this incident, all the saints and mahants including Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya have expressed doubts about the suicide. At the same time, political parties had also demanded a CBI or judicial inquiry into the matter. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the state government has recommended a CBI inquiry to the central government.
Mahant Narendra Giri died under suspicious circumstances on Monday evening. He was found hanging from the fan’s stove with a noose made of nylon rope in the room located at the rest house of Shri Matha Baghambari Gaddi. A suicide note was found from the spot, in which he had accused three people, including his disciple, of harassing him. It became public on Tuesday. In this, disciple yoga guru Anand Giri, Hanuman temple priest Aadya Tiwari, his son Sandeep Tiwari have been held responsible for the death. The arrest of two accused was shown on Tuesday itself. SIT President Ajit Singh confirmed the arrest of the third accused Sandeep at 6 pm.
Clotting not found in the neck, confirmed hanging with saliva A panel of five doctors has found that Mahant Narendra Giri died due to hanging. However, keeping the option of forensic examination open, Bisra has been secured. The panel found traces of Mahant Narendra Giri being tightened with a rope around his neck. The post-mortem report has not been made public as it is a legal matter. It has been given to the CMO.
Clotting not found in the neck: The doctors involved in the panel refused to tell about what was found in Mahant Narendra Giri’s post-mortem, but the staff present during this process was told so much that the white color in the Mahant’s neck. The substance has got accumulated which is formed due to obstruction in the sputum. Sliva (spit) was found in the mouth. This is often found in hanging cases. Clotting occurs in the bite of the throat in the case of forcibly tightening the throat with a rope or any cloth or pressing it with a rule. Clotting was not found in Mahant’s neck. There was no such thing as bowel movement.
