new Delhi. The Supreme Court on Wednesday has refused to hear the plea seeking a CBI probe into the actor Sushant Singh Rajput case. A bench headed by Chief Justice SA Bobde told PIL petitioner Alka Priya that there was no basis in the case. The Mumbai Police is investigating the case and if you want, you can go to the Bombay High Court and demand appropriate relief for yourself.
Apart from Bobde in the bench, there were justices AS Bopanna and V Ramasubramanian.
Advocate K.B. Upadhyay said before the bench that Sushant was a good man as he was supporting many social works.
The bench said that it had nothing to do with whether he was a good man or a bad man, it is a matter of jurisdiction. The bench told the petitioner’s counsel that they should go to the Bombay High Court and if there is anything concrete they should share it there.
Upadhyay said in his petition that there were many irregularities in the Mumbai Police investigation. He stated that he had scar marks on his body.
A few days ago Sushant Singh Rajput’s father K.K. Singh had filed an FIR against Riya Chakra Varti in Patna alleging cheating and threatening her son. After which the actress also reached the Supreme Court and demanded to transfer the investigation to Mumbai.
Riya’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde said that his client has filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking transfer of the investigation from Patna to Mumbai, where investigations into the actor’s suicide are already underway. Manashinde, however, did not disclose the contents of the petition.
Sushant and Riya were in a relationship before actor Sushant’s suicide on 14 June. Sushant’s father has made several serious allegations against Riya, including threatening to take her money and share her medical report in the media.
Sushant’s family also accused Riya of distancing him from his family.
Sushant’s cousin Neeraj Kumar Singh, a former BJP MLA from Umburpur, Bihar, said that after recovering from the shock of Sushant’s sudden demise and after getting information about many things, we got the FIR done.
