After all, that moment has come near, for which millions of people of the country and the world have been waiting for decades. The construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya is going to be officially started. In the same sequence, the temple of Ramlala is to be worshiped in Ayodhya on August 5. PM Modi is also joining this program. After the Bhoomi Pujan, the construction work of the temple will accelerate. Ram temple is going to become more grand and huge. After the construction of the temple, Ramlala will go to his womb house where he will be worshiped with different elegance. But do you know how Ramlala was worshiped before this?
To know this, you have to go to the bottom of the old history associated with the Ram temple. It is also necessary to know how this dispute started, which gradually took a huge form and changed a lot. Let me tell you here that the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute is quite old, but the land dispute on which the landmark decision of the Supreme Court came.
The dispute started in 1949 when the idols of Ramlala were placed in the inner part of the mosque on the night of 22/23 December 1949. After this incident, the entire scenario of Ayodhya itself had changed and the old system of worship had also ended there. Explain that the idol of Ramlala, the child form of Maryada Purushottam, was kept in the room just below the main dome of Babri Masjid.
Muslims used to visit Babri Masjid very rarely
There was a general perception about Babri Masjid that it was built by breaking the ancient temple of Lord Rama during the Mughal period. In the absence of maintenance, the mosque, which is turning into ruins, was opened only on Friday for prayers. For the rest of the day, very few people came and went. The reason for this was the riots of 1934, after which Muslims almost gave up going there due to fear.
Earlier Ramlala used to be worshiped like this
At that time there was a 21 feet by 17 feet platform on the exterior of the wall of Babri Masjid, which was known as Ram Chabutra. A statue of Ram’s child form (Ramlala) was sitting there. At that time, as many people used to gather for Ramlala’s darshan as they used to gather in any other temple, monastery or ashram in Ayodhya. But the ritual festival of Ramlala changed everything.
On the morning of 23 December 1949, the same idol was found in the room just below the main dome of the Babri Masjid, which had been sitting on the Ram platform for many decades and for which there was an indulgence in the Sita kitchen or Kaushalya kitchen. Ram Chabutara and Sita Rasoi were under the control of the Nirmohi Akhara and the saints and saints of the same arena used to do rituals of worship there.
Worship of Lord Rama started within the lock when the dispute increased
On 23 December, the police filed a lawsuit to keep the idols in the mosque, on the basis of which the mosque was attached and locked on 29 December 1949. The court appointed Priy Dutt Ram, the then municipal president in that case, as the receiver of the building and gave him the responsibility of worshiping idols etc. At that time, Ramlala’s bhog was made in the kitchen of Ram Pootare. After this, the sentry used to open the lock of the disputed building for enjoyment.
But in 1971, the receiver Priy Dutt Ram died. After this a dispute arose between the new receiver and the Nirmohi Arena. The matter was in the court and during this time the police intervened and locked it and kept the key with them. The sentry on the spot changed and the key was handed over to the new sentry. There were two doors. A door was always open for bhog and prayers. This system continued for a long time.
The system changed completely on 6 December 1992
After the incident in Ayodhya on 6 December 1992, Lord Ramlala was established at the same time. Although it was a temporary temple. Ramlala was established there with the construction of a high mound and law. With this, the responsibility of their worship was handed over to the chief priest of Ramlala, Acharya Satyendra Das. However, that temporary temple of Ramlala was built from a tent and was under strict security. Due to strict security arrangements, it was once again difficult for devotees to reach Ramlala. This system continued for many years.
Ramlala’s worship system changed once again on 25 March 2020
The occasion finally came on the first day of Chaitra Navratri i.e. March 25, when 27 years, 3 months and 20 days later, Ramlala got out of the tent and set up in a temporary and makeshift temple. Some people even claimed that after about 500 years (1528-2020) Ramlala ascended the silver throne, which was presented on behalf of the royal family of Ayodhya. Let us tell you here that on March 25, Ramlala was shifted to the temporary temple after bathing and worshiping in the sanctum sanctorum of the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi complex at Brahm Muhurat at around 4 pm. CM Yogi Adityanath was also present on this occasion.
Now, devotees will not have to travel much distance for darshan as they sit in the temporary temple of Ramlala, built near Manas Bhawan, a few meters from the sanctum sanctorum. With this, now devotees can visit Ramlala very closely. A 5-foot gallery in the makeshift temple is built for devotees. Apart from this, the Rang Mandap has also been made to see Ramlala from the front.
