Agra. The hour of judgment in Raja Mansingh massacre of Rajasthan’s famous and princely state of Bharatpur has come to a close. Raja Mansingh and two others died in a police encounter on 21 February 1985. A day before this, on February 20, 1985, Raja damaged the assembly platform and his helicopter in the deeg of the then Chief Minister of Rajasthan Shivcharan Mathur in Deeg. The 35-year-old district and sessions judge can pronounce the verdict on Tuesday. The case is being heard in the Mathura Court on the order of the Supreme Court. 14 policemen are on trial in the trial.
The incident is dated 20 February 1985. Then the then Chief Minister Shivcharan Mathur came to Deeg to hold a public meeting for the Rajasthan assembly elections. Raja Man Singh was contesting as an independent from Deeg Vidhan Sabha. While Brijendra Singh of Congress was the candidate in front of him. It is alleged that Congress supporters had removed the flag of Raja Man Singh on the fort situated at Deeg and put the Congress flag on it. This thing went mad to Raja Man Singh. According to the police FIR, Raja broke the wide assembly platform after colliding with a Joga Jeep, after which the CM’s helicopter was hit and damaged by Joga.
The next day, on February 21, in the afternoon, Raja Man Singh and the then Deputy SP of Deeg Kan Singh Bhati had a face-off in the grain market. Raja Man Singh, his companions Sumer Singh and Hari Singh were killed in the firing here. When Raja died, he was 64 years old. The report of the incident was lodged by Raja Man Singh’s son-in-law Vijay Singh against Deputy SP Kan Singh Bhati and SHO Virendra Singh among others in the sections of murder. While the police had called it an encounter. SHO Virendra Singh had written a report in Deeg police station against Raja Man Singh, Vijay Singh, Sumer Singh, Hari Singh and many of his supporters. A large number of people attended the funeral of the king on 22 February. The matter caused political uproar, then the state government handed over the investigation to the CBI. Chargesheet filed against 18 policemen in Jaipur CBI court. The plaintiff sought refuge from the Supreme Court to transfer the case out of Rajasthan. On January 1, 1990, the Supreme Court transferred the case to District and Sessions Judge Mathura. The last hearing of the case was held in the court of District and Sessions Judge Sadhana Rani Thakur in Mathura on July 9, when the date of hearing was fixed for the July 21 verdict.
Decision date today
According to the counsel for the plaintiff, Narayan Singh and the advocate for the defendant side, Nandkishore Upamanyu, the debate in the Raja Man Singh murder case was completed. Now the court has also fixed the date for awarding July 21.

– On February 21, 1985, Raja Man Singh died in a police encounter. If the verdict is delivered on Tuesday, it will also be the 21st. The only difference would be that it was February, whereas it was July.

Constable Nekiram, Kuldeep and Sitaram. Driver Mahendra Singh has been cleared of charges.
An introduction: Raja Man Singh
Raja Man Singh was born on December 5, 1921, at the home of Maharaj Kishan Singh of the princely state of Bharatpur. Studied engineering in England from the years 1928 to 1942. Deepa aka Krishnendra Kaur is the eldest of their three daughters. 1946-1947 was a minister of the princely state of Bharatpur. In the year 1947, he opposed the flagging of the princely state. Won first independent election to Vidhan Sabha in 1952. After this, he was elected as an independent MLA seven times in a row.
