Kathmandu The crisis on the Prime Minister KP Oli’s government in Nepal does not seem to be getting any less. Meanwhile, Communist Party of Nepal (NCP) leader Pushp Kamal Dahal has reached Baluwatra for a meeting with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. Meanwhile, the meeting of the standing committee of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) to be held in Nepal has been postponed till 8 July. Press advisor Surya Thapa of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has given this information.
Oli-Prachanda did not meet during the meeting!
Earlier in Nepal, there was a political stir throughout the day on Sunday. A meeting on the power partnership between PM KP Sharma Oli and Nepal Communist Party (NCP) co-chairman Pushp Kamal Dahal Prachanda could not yield any result. A source close to Oli said that the two leaders are adamant on their stand. That is why they could not reach any agreement. Prachanda’s camp in Nepal is continuously demanding the resignation of PM Oli. This camp has the support of senior party leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhalanath Khanal.
Prime Minister Oli has also met Nepal Army Chief General Purna Chandra Thapa amid political stalemate in the ruling party. Prachanda, after meeting with President Vidya Devi Bhandari at Sheetal Niwas, reached Oli’s official residence to hold talks with the top leadership of the ruling party to eradicate differences.
