The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said in a statement, “Kofid has been found to be 19 Test positives for Jofra Archer and his home staff. Jofra Archer’s second Test will be held tomorrow (Wednesday 23 June) and If the result of this test is negative, they can join England’s training camp from Thursday. ”
The rest of the team’s players and the England management team will arrive in Southampton on Tuesday afternoon to begin their preparations ahead of the first Test against the West Indies. The first match of the three-match Test series between hosts England and West Indies is to be held on 8 July from this ground. The England Cricket Board has put only 30 players in the training camp, while 20 players will be selected from it for the Test series.
International cricket has been suspended since March due to the corona virus epidemic, but international cricket is set to resume in July. Test cricket will return with the England vs West Indies series. The West Indies team is staying in a “bio-safe” environment during the seven weeks of the tour.
