Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan’s son and former MLA Abdullah Azam Khan has once again come into the limelight. His troubles have increased. Abdullah Azam has been fined Rs 3 crore 71 lakh 878 by the DM court for stamp theft. Abdullah Azam had bought 26 bigha land in which the theft was done by applying less stamp, investigation was going on in this matter. After this, now the fine has been imposed.
Rampur DM Jogendra Singh has caught the stamp theft after conducting a thorough investigation of Abdullah Azam’s less stamp theft in his court and taking action against Abdullah Azam, a fine of Rs 3 crore 71 lakh 878 has been imposed by the DM court. However, Abdullah Azam did not appear in the DM court on Tuesday.
Released from jail in February
Samajwadi Party leader Abdullah Azam Khan was released from Hardoi jail in February 2025 after about one and a half years. Abdullah Azam came out of the jail gate amid tight security. He left directly for Rampur without meeting anyone. In the last few years, 45 cases were registered against Abdullah Azam and he got bail in all of them. However, now he has been fined crores in the case of stamp theft.
What is the whole matter
SP leader Abdullah Azam had bought 26 bighas of land in the year 2021-2022. He was accused of theft on stamp duty purchased on 4 different lands. After this, in the year 2023, the then SDM had sent a report of stamp theft to the DM in the investigation in this case. Then this case was registered in the court of Rampur DM Jogendra Singh. The hearing of this case was going on in the DM court since the year 2023. However, now the decision has come on this and Azam Khan’s son has been fined.
