Bareilly. Constable Ravi, posted in PSC, killed his wife Meenu with seven poisonous syringes. He was planning to get rid of his wife and marry another woman. The plot for this murder was planned by Ravi’s dentist friend Shanu and ambulance medical assistant Jatin.
They both told him how to commit the murder so that nothing is revealed in the post-mortem report. The contract for Meenu’s murder was fixed at Rs 3 lakh. The incident was carried out inside the car itself. To make it look like a robbery, the accused also stole Meenu’s jewellery. Police arrested all three accused and sent them to jail on Friday.
Told the police – robbers killed me
Rampur resident Ravi Kumar, posted in the 8th Battalion PAC, left home with his wife Meenu on the afternoon of February 22. After some time, he told his constable friend Sanjay on the phone that miscreants had attacked near the temple in Faridpur. When Sanjay reached there, he saw that Meenu was unconscious on the front seat of the car, while Ravi was lying in the garden. Both were immediately taken to the hospital, but the doctors there declared Meenu dead.
Police expressed suspicion of murder
There were many syringe marks on her neck. Police also expressed suspicion of murder. The postmortem also confirmed that injection was given on the neck. After this, on Monday, Meenu’s father Jagdish lodged an FIR against Ravi at Bithri police station for murder. When the police took Ravi into custody and questioned him, initially he was telling the story of robbery, but the police found discrepancies in the whole story.
The police took him to the crime scene several times, but he was giving wrong information every time. When the police became strict, Ravi broke down. He told that he killed his wife because he wanted to get rid of his wife. Ravi told the police that he was getting his wife treated by tantriks because of ghost-related reasons.
Ravi was having an affair with another girl
Meanwhile, Ravi had a love affair with a girl from the same family. Ravi planned to kill the girl to marry her and get rid of his wife. Ravi said that he used to get his car serviced in Mohanpur Thiriya. There he met a young man named Shanu.
Gradually both of them became good friends. When he told Shanu about the murder plan, Shanu said that if the murder is done in any way, the police will catch him. The murder will have to be done in such a way that no one comes to know and nothing comes in the post-mortem report. How will this happen? On this question, Shanu told about Jitin, a resident of Madhowadi of Premnagar police station area.
He said that he works in an ambulance, so he has a good knowledge about medicines. He can kill Meenu by injecting her. The contract for the murder was fixed at Rs. 3 lakh. The police have also recovered all the items used in the murder.
Death will occur due to cardiac arrest
Shanu also included Jatin in the murder plot. Jatin told that he knows such injections, after which any healthy person will get cardiac arrest and will die within a few minutes. Even if his post-mortem is done, no one will know anything.
This will not make anyone suspect murder. What will happen to the body after the murder? On this question, the three people decided that they will inform the police about this, they will be told that some robbers came and killed Meenu after looting. The entire incident was carried out under this plan.
Shanu had held her hands, Jatin continuously injected her
After the entire conspiracy of murder was ready, on Saturday Ravi told Meenu that he was going to see some property at a place. If the deal is finalized, they will buy the property. On the pretext of showing it, Ravi took Meenu in the car towards Faridpur temple. Jatin and Shaanu also sat in the car with full preparation on the way.
Ravi told Meenu that these are the two people whose land he will buy. After parking the car on one side, Shanu who was sitting behind pulled both the hands of Meenu backwards and Ravi caught her. Jatin continuously put seven syringes on Meenu’s neck and around it. Due to which she died within a few minutes.
All these syringes had 65 ml medicine. To show this whole incident as a robbery, Shanu took off all the jewellery of Meenu and both of them came back on his bike. After this Ravi went to the field and lay down and called his friend Sanjay Saini and told him the story of the robbery. On Friday, the police exposed the whole case and sent all three to jail.
The wife was pleading but still they did not let her go
In the police investigation it also came to light that as soon as Meenu was hit by a syringe, she understood that now she is being murdered. She started pleading in front of Ravi. She said why are you killing me, what is my fault? Still none of the three had any mercy.
SP North Mukesh Mishra said that all three accused have been arrested. All three had committed the murder together. Meenu’s throat was slit with seven syringes by mixing three types of injections together. All the items have also been recovered. All three are being sent to jail.
