There was a stir in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly district due to the big action of Income Tax against gutkha dealers. On Tuesday, the Income Tax team raided the hideouts of Bhardwaj brothers simultaneously. During the investigation, businessman Amit Bhardwaj fainted and fell on the road, who was immediately taken to a private hospital. There is a lot of anger among the traders due to this action and business leaders and lawyers have come out in their support.
In fact, the Income Tax team raided the house of gutkha dealer Amit Bhardwaj on Tuesday morning. After the investigation, the team took him to the house of his elder brother Ramsevak Bhardwaj, which is in BDA Colony Premnagar. On reaching there, it was found that Ramsevak Bhardwaj has gone to Maha Kumbh with his family and the house is locked. The team started the process of breaking the lock, but during this time Amit Bhardwaj flatly refused to go inside the house. He said that this is his brother’s house and he will not enter it.
Businessman faints during raid, admitted to hospital
Amit Bhardwaj suddenly fainted and fell on the road during the raid outside his house. The businessmen present on the spot immediately admitted him to a private hospital. It is being told that Amit Bhardwaj has chicken pox and diabetes, due to which his health deteriorated. The businessmen allege that the Income Tax team put mental pressure on him, due to which his health deteriorated.
Anger among business leaders and lawyers
After the incident, there was a lot of anger among the businessmen. Many business leaders and senior lawyers reached the spot and expressed their displeasure against the team. Senior advocate Amjad Salim said that Amit Bhardwaj was forcibly asked to break the locks of his brother’s house, while both of them live separately. This is completely wrong and legal action will be taken against it. At the same time, business leader Vishal Bhardwaj said that Amit Bhardwaj is ill. Still he was harassed unnecessarily. He fully cooperated with the team, but it is unfair to put pressure on him to search his brother’s house.
Anger among traders, raids continue
Traders are angry about this raid. They say that if there is any irregularity, the Income Tax Department should investigate legally and not put pressure on traders. At present, the Income Tax team is still investigating and traders are in a state of unrest.
