In this case, a case has been registered against more than 5 people including YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia. All of them have been accused of promoting ‘obscenity’ and an FIR has been registered in Guwahati.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has given this information by posting on x. In the post, he wrote – Today Guwahati Police has registered an FIR against some YouTubers and social influencers.

CM Sarma further wrote- ‘Guwahati Crime Branch has registered a case under sections under Cyber PS Case No. 03/2025 for promoting obscenity and engaging in sexual and obscene discussions in the show India’s Got Latent. 79/95/294/296 of BNS 2023, Section 67 of IT Act, 2000, Section 4/7 of Cinematograph Act 1952, Section 4/6 of Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986. Investigation is currently underway.
