Hyderabad: Allu Arjun’s interrogation at Chikkadpally police station in connection with the Sandhya theatre stampede incident at Hyderabad RTC Cross Road has ended. The hearing lasted for more than three and a half hours. After the interrogation, he reached his home in Jubilee Hills. The police issued a notice in the matter on Monday and after discussing with the legal team, he attended the hearing at Chikkadpally police station on Tuesday for interrogation. Allu Arvind, Allu Arjun’s uncle Chandrasekhar Reddy and producer Bunny Vasu went to the police station. DCP Central Zone Akanksha Yadav questioned Allu Arjun who was present with lawyers. The interrogation was done in the presence of ACP Ramesh and Inspector Rajunaik.
Allu Arjun questioned
Film actor Allu Arjun appeared for interrogation at Chikkadpally police station today at 11:05 am in connection with Crime No. 376/2024, which includes Sections 105 and 118(1) read with 3(5) of the BNS Act. The actor was accompanied by YVS Sudheendra, IPS, DCP Task Force, who is part of the ongoing investigation into the stampede that took place at Sandhya theatre earlier this month. A high-level police team was present during the interrogation, which included DCP Central Zone- Akshansh Yadav, IPS, Additional DCP Central Zone- Anand. The interrogation led by DCP Akshansh Yadav concluded around 2.40 pm. It focused on the tragic stampede that took place during the premiere of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya theatre on December 4, which resulted in the death of Revathi and her son Sreetj getting injured.
Allu Arjun went without permission
Sandhya theatre’s senior manager Nagaraju has already been detained for two days and the police have taken details. Nagaraju admitted that the police had refused to give permission to Allu Arjun and the actor for the Pushpa-2 premiere show. Despite this, Allu Arjun went to the premiere. The police have already released a video on the Sandhya theatre incident. It is reported that Allu Arjun is being questioned on the basis of this video. It seems that after coming out on bail, Allu Arjun was asked about the issues mentioned in the press conference. In view of the investigation of Allu Arjun, Chikkadpally police has made heavy security arrangements. The police interrogated him on the basis of the events of the day of the premiere show at Sandhya Theater. Based on CCTV camera footage, details were taken from witnesses at the entry and exit gates of the theater. It is reported that Allu Arjun was questioned on this basis.
Security increased during interrogation
In view of the investigation, heavy security was deployed around the Chikkadpally police station, including restrictions were imposed within a radius of 200 meters, including stopping the movement of vehicles. Chikkadpalli police registered a case and arrested Allu Arjun on the charge that he held the rally despite police’s refusal to grant permission and caused someone’s death. He was released from Chanchal Guda jail after the High Court granted him interim bail. Following the incident, a notice was served to him at the Chikkadpalli police station to join the investigation. Chikkadpalli police arrested bouncer Antony two days ago. Police arrested 11 people and made 18 people accused in this case.
