The ICC has released the full schedule of Champions Trophy 2025. The first match of the tournament will be played between Pakistan and New Zealand on February 19. At the same time, the match between India and Pakistan will be played on February 23. Team India’s first match will be against Bangladesh. The Indian team will play all its matches in Dubai. But do you know that two cities have been selected for the Champions Trophy final. There is a big reason behind this.
Team India will start the campaign in the Champions Trophy from February 20. This match will be held in Dubai. After this, India will face Pakistan. At the same time, India’s third match will be against New Zealand. This match will be played in Dubai on March 2. The first semi-final of the tournament will be played in Dubai and the second semi-final in Lahore. At the same time, two cities have been selected for the final.
Why two cities were selected for the Champions Trophy final –
The ICC has selected two venues for the final match. In this, the first venue is the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. While the second venue is Dubai Cricket Stadium. Actually the tournament is being played with a hybrid model. So if the Indian team reaches the final, then this match will be held in Dubai. If Team India does not reach the final, it will be played in Lahore.
There will be a problem in the semi-finals too –
There are two venues for the semi-finals till the final. The first semi-final will be played in Dubai on March 4. This match will be held in Dubai only when the Indian team reaches here. The second semi-final will be played in Lahore on March 5. The same rule will apply for this as well.
This will be the schedule of Team India in Champions Trophy 2025-
- 20 February – India vs Bangladesh
- 23 February – India vs Pakistan
- 02 March – India vs New Zealand
