The hearing in the sexual harassment and rape case of former Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam has been postponed till December 16. Petitioner Hamiza Mukhtar told the Lahore High Court that Babar Azam has been in a relationship with this woman for a long time. But after promising marriage, Babar attacked her. Babar’s lawyer Haris Azmat did not reach the court, but his junior lawyer demanded adjournment of the case, which was also accepted.
The petitioner presented her claims again before the court and said, “Babar Azam sexually abused me, due to which I became pregnant. Later Babar pressured me to have an abortion.” This woman actually got an abortion and also alleged that as Babar kept moving forward in his career, he kept reneging on his promise. She has also presented medical examination documents before the court to prove her claims true.
This woman also accused the police that in the year 2021 she had accused Babar Azam of blackmailing and cheating. But till now no FIR has been registered in that case. Let us tell you that Babar Azam is currently part of the Pakistan team that went on a tour of South Africa, where both the teams are to play three T20, 3 ODIs and 2 Test matches. In the first T20 match, South Africa defeated Pakistan by 11 runs. In this encounter, Babar Azam played 4 balls in which he was out on a score of zero. He was dismissed by 18-year-old young Kwena Mphaka.
