Pakistan’s famous film and theater actress has made serious allegations against her husband. According to the actress, her husband crossed all limits of cruelty and beat her badly.
The reason for this is said to be property transfer. The actress’s name is Nargis alias Ghazala Idris. The incident was reported on Friday.
Repeated attacks on the face with a government gun
It is alleged that Majid Bashir, an inspector in Lahore’s Defense Housing Authority (DHA), beat his wife so badly that she suffered multiple injuries on her face, eyes and other parts of the body. According to the woman, she was killed because she refused to transfer her property to the accused.
According to a report in Pakistan’s leading daily Dawn, the FIR stated that “Majid Bashir repeatedly hit my face with his government gun, causing injuries around my eyes.”
A report was filed against Bashir at the Defense C Police Station by Nargis’ brother Khurram Bhatti. The report said that Bashir had been beating the actress earlier as well.
Nargis made these allegations
On Friday, Nargis had alleged that her husband crossed “all limits” when she was dragged by her hair, humiliated and beaten in front of her nephew and staff. She said Bashir also inserted the barrel of his official gun in her mouth in an attempt to injure her jaw.
She alleged that all this was done to grab a piece of land, gold jewellery and other property. The actress shared a video clip on social media which has now gone viral, showing several injury marks on her body.
Local media reported that Lahore police are conducting raids at different places to arrest Bashir. Bashir has been missing since the incident made headlines.
Nargis has also alleged in the FIR that the inspector wanted to live in his house with the ex-wife of a famous TV host.
The actress, who runs a beauty salon in Lahore, was also attacked by her ex-husband (dismissed police inspector ‘Boxer’) Abid in the year 2002. At that time, she was very famous and was at the peak of her career.
