Bhadohi. Police has got a big success in Bhadohi district of Uttar Pradesh. Here, police arrested two criminals involved in the murder of Indra Bahadur Singh National Inter College Principal Yogendra Bahadur Singh after an encounter on Wednesday morning. In the encounter near Sherpur Gopalhan of Durgaganj police station, a criminal was shot in his left leg. He is undergoing treatment in the district hospital. Both are residents of Phaphamau, Prayagraj.
On Wednesday morning, during patrolling, when the police stopped two bike riders on Sherpur Gopalhan Bari Road, they opened fire on the police. In retaliation, Shakeel, a resident of Phaphamau, was shot in his left leg. Police also arrested Ashish, a resident of Prayagraj along with Shakeel.
The injured criminal is undergoing treatment in the district hospital. ASP Dr. Tejbir Singh said that both the arrested criminals are also involved in the conspiracy to murder the principal.
They also have a hand in gathering the shooters. During the investigation, when the police tried to catch the fleeing criminals, they opened fire. In the retaliatory firing, a criminal was shot in his leg. He is undergoing treatment in the district hospital.
The mastermind of the murder was caught a day earlier
Yogendra Bahadur Singh, the principal of National Inter College, resident of Amilori village of Bhadohi Kotwali, was shot dead by two miscreants riding an Apache bike at 9 am on October 21. On Tuesday, the police revealed the case.
Saurabh Singh, son of deceased teacher Ajay Singh, resident of Chilla Shivkuti, Prayagraj, who was caught by the police, said that his father was murdered 27 years ago. To take revenge, he got the principal killed by hired shooters along with Mohammad Kaleem, resident of Rudapur, Phaphamau, Prayagraj.
On December 12, 1997, Ajay Bahadur Singh, father of Saurabh Singh, the mastermind of the murder, was murdered near Gyanpur canal. Yogendra Singh and his younger brother Anil Singh were accused in this. They were acquitted by the court in 2002.
