Shamli: Non-bailable warrants have been issued against 10 accused including Bhakiyu founder president late Chaudhary Mahendra Singh Tikait and former district panchayat president Manish Chauhan in the case of blockade in Kandhla police station area of Shamli. Whereas Mahendra Singh Tikait died 13 years ago. His warrants were issued as the death certificate was not submitted in the court.
13 years after his death, on June 4, 2007, in the case of dharna demonstration and blockade in Kandhla area, the court had issued non-bailable warrants against 10 accused including Bhakiyu founder and former president Mahendra Singh Tikait and outgoing district panchayat president Manish Chauhan for not submitting the death certificate in the court. Even on the date of the case on Friday, the police could not submit the death certificate of the Bhakiyu founder.
In 2007, in the case of blocking the road at Khandrawali crossing in Kandhla in Rajasthan for Gurjar reservation, the then SI Atar Singh of Kandhla police station had registered a case against 20 named and 100-150 unknown people including BKU founder and former president Mahendra Singh Tikait and outgoing district panchayat president Manish Chauhan. The hearing of the case is going on in the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate.
BKU founder Chaudhary Mahendra Singh Tikait died 13 years ago. The police sent the death report of Chaudhary Mahendra Singh Tikait in the court but did not file the death certificate, due to which the court had issued non-bailable warrants against 11 accused including Chaudhary Mahendra Singh Tikait and Manish Chauhan.
The court had a date for the said case on Friday. During this time two accused filed their bail petition, but the police could not file the death certificate of late Chaudhary Mahendra Singh Tikait.
Tikait’s grandson said, police’s negligence is huge
Charan Singh Tikait, grandson of farmer messiah Chaudhary Mahendra Singh Tikait and son of Rakesh Tikait, said that Chaudhary Mahendra Singh Tikait died on 15 May 2011. Everyone knows this. He said that Shamli police has submitted his death report in the court. Despite that, non-bailable warrants were issued against the farmer messiah from Kairana court. With which the Bhaurakalan police station reached his ancestral residence in Sisauli. He expressed surprise that after all the police knew all this. He said that this raises a big question on the system.
