Saharanpur. The retired soldier who has been making rounds of the officers’ offices has demanded death penalty for not getting justice. He has accused the Municipal Corporation of forcibly constructing a drain in his plot. He told that he has also made more than 1500 complaints on the IGRS portal, but the corporation has settled the complaints according to its own.
The SDM had got the plot measured
Retired soldier Mohammad Shahid, a resident of Khatakhedi, reached the Collectorate on Tuesday with a placard hanging around his neck. It was written on the placard – Death penalty to the soldier or justice from the officers. Shahid told that he retired in 2019 after serving in the army for 24 years. He had bought a plot in Khatakhedi with the money received in the fund.
It is alleged that the Municipal Corporation forcibly made him sit in the police station and got a drain constructed in his plot, due to which his land worth eight lakh rupees went into the drain. It is alleged that the people on the other side of the road have occupied the corporation’s land.
Instead of taking action against him, the corporation has targeted the plot he had bought. Shahid said that the matter was investigated by SDM Sadar and the employees of the Revenue Department. The measurement of the plot was found to be correct, but the corporation did not accept the administration’s investigation.
The Municipal Corporation is misleading
It is alleged that the corporation itself is settling his complaints. He is being harassed and misled for 22 months. He invested his entire life’s earnings in this plot. In such a situation, his children will be on the road. The corporation is sending wrong reports regarding the complaints made on the portal and the government and administration are being misled.
The retired soldier says that if the government and administration cannot give him justice, then he should be given the death penalty. He raised the demand to investigate the corrupt officials of the corporation. The victim submitted a memorandum to the DM. DM Manish Bansal assured action by investigating the matter.
