New Delhi. Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat faced Cuba’s Yusnelis Guzman Lopez in the women’s freestyle 50 kg semi-final of Paris Olympics 2024. Vinesh looked dominant from the start. She was leading 1-0. After this, she took a 5-0 lead. In the end, she won the match 5-0 and confirmed her place in the final. With this, she has confirmed another medal. Vinesh Phogat has become the first Indian woman player to qualify for the final of wrestling in the Olympics.
Defeated Osana in the quarter-finals

Fourth medal confirmed for India
Vinesh Phogat’s final match will be played on 7 August. On Wednesday, she will be eyeing to win the gold medal. During this, Vinesh will compete with USA’s Sarah Ann Hildebrandt. Vinesh will become the second Indian female wrestler to win a medal in the Summer Games after Sakshi Malik.
