The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is to be held in Pakistan, but it is not clear at the moment whether Team India will go to Pakistan or not. However, in the meantime, a statement has come from former Pakistani cricketer Basit Ali. Basit Ali has fiercely targeted BCCI Secretary Jay Shah in his statement. Basit Ali alleges that Jay Shah is exerting undue influence on other cricket boards according to his priorities. Apart from this, he expressed displeasure over the attitude of BCCI.
‘Adequate payment for the participation of players in IPL…’
Basit Ali said on his YouTube channel that there are 5-6 boards, they will accept whatever Jay Shah says, if he says that the Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan, they will agree, if he says that it will be a hybrid model, they will agree to that too. He said that when players from other countries play IPL in India, then BCCI pays a huge amount, be it the English Board, New Zealand Board, West Indies Board or Australia Board. Jay Shah has secured the support of major cricket boards by offering adequate payment for the participation of players in the IPL.
