In Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, a brother killed his brother for money. To grab the insurance amount of Rs 50 lakh, the brother shot his own brother with an illegal pistol and killed him. SP Dinesh Kumar Singh revealed the incident after 5 days and arrested the brother and sent him to jail. Barabanki Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar Singh says that the wife of deceased Arvind Verma lived in a room in Barabanki with her children. Deceased Arvind Verma’s younger brother Virendra Verma used to go to meet his sister-in-law. Police say that Virendra had an illicit relationship with his sister-in-law, due to which he used to go to Barabanki to meet her regularly.
Safai Karamchari Arvind Verma was murdered on the night of July 5 in Murai Majra Madhanpur of Badosarai Kotwali area of Barabanki. The police engaged in the investigation arrested the accused younger brother Virendra Verma on Thursday. SP Dinesh Kumar Singh said that Ashok Verma, a resident of Murai Majra Madhanpur under Badosarai police station, had lodged a complaint on July 6 about his brother being shot dead. The SP had formed 4 teams under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police Chiranjeev Nath Sinha to solve the case and instructed them to solve the case soon. In the initial investigation of the police, it was revealed that the door of the deceased’s room was locked from inside and no fire was fired from the window. There was no eyewitness to this incident. At the time of the incident, other family members were living in an old house away from home. When the family arrived in the morning, they came to know that someone had shot and killed Arvind.
The accused was in the property business
The SP said that the deceased’s younger brother Virendra Kumar Verma works in the property business. He had borrowed money from many people in connection with business, and due to not being able to pay it, he has incurred a lot of debt. The SP said that Virendra and Arvind both lived together, so people used to ask for money from Arvind too. On this, Arvind had returned the money of some people, but he used to taunt Virendra every day that you took the loan and I am repaying it. There had been many disputes between the deceased Arvind and his brother Virendra regarding this matter.
There was an argument over loan repayment
Virendra got into tension with his brother Arvind over loan and loan repayment. Barabanki Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar says that Virendra had an illicit relationship with the deceased’s wife. He often went to Barabanki to meet his sister-in-law. Here she lived with her children in a rented house. SP Dinesh Kumar Singh said that Virendra, who was in debt, had conspired to kill his own brother to overcome his financial crisis.
