The outbreak of severe heat continues in the entire North India including UP. News of many people dying due to heat wave is also coming continuously. A similar case has also come to light from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh. Here a head constable of UP Police fainted in the scorching heat. The police station’s inspector sahab was also with him at that time. He started videography of the head constable before taking him to the hospital. As soon as the head constable was brought to the hospital for treatment, he had died.
When the video of the inspector doing videography went viral, questions started being raised on the police administration. It was said that the inspector should have taken the head constable to the hospital at the same time. But he did not do so. He kept making videos of the head constable. This is a huge negligence of the police. When the matter reached the senior officials, action was ordered in the matter.
Head constable Brij Kishore Singh, a resident of Jhansi, was going to his home in Jhansi on Tuesday morning after taking a three-day leave. He fainted and fell on the ground outside the police station. After this, the inspector posted there came to him. He started making a video of the unconscious head constable. After some time, Braj Kishore was taken to a nearby private hospital. He died here during treatment. After this incident, the video of the inspector went viral on social media. Questions arose as to why the head constable was not immediately taken to the hospital. Why was his videography going on?
Action will be taken against the inspector
ACP Mohsin Khan of Kanpur Police says that head constable Braj Kishore has died during treatment. Soon his body will be sent for postmortem. Prima facie it seems that he may have died due to heat stroke. The rest of the main reasons will be known only after the postmortem report comes. As far as the inspector making the video is concerned, action will be taken against him.
How to prevent heat stroke or sunstroke?
To avoid heat stroke or sunstroke, do not go out of the house unless it is absolutely necessary. If you have to go out in strong sunlight and high temperature, you should wear umbrella, cap, towel, scarf, sunscreen, sunglasses, shoes and slippers on your feet and loose light coloured full sleeve shirt etc. Before going out of the house, you should keep your body hydrated by drinking plenty of water, buttermilk, lassi, juice etc. The use of alcohol and caffeine should be reduced.
