Lucknow. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday cornered the BJP government in the ‘outsourcing of police services’ recruitment case. He said that the BJP government at the Centre has ruined the future of the youth in army recruitment by introducing the Agniveer scheme. Now it has its eyes on the police department.
Akhilesh Yadav said that the government’s intentions are not right. It is deceiving the youth. The BJP government should answer that when the police has its own recruitment board, then why is the government running away from direct permanent recruitment? Akhilesh quipped that the BJP may outsource the ‘government’ someday.
Akhilesh said that the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh has adopted a careless attitude towards the ‘police system’, due to which the morale of the criminals is high. He posted on Internet Media X, ‘After one acting DGP after another, now some ‘outsourcing of police services’ is being considered. If the police will be on contract, then neither will it have any accountability, nor will confidential and sensitive information be prevented from going out. The BJP government should answer that when the police has its own recruitment board, then why is the government running away from direct permanent recruitment?’
‘Plan to take money for work’
Akhilesh further wrote, ‘The youth wishing to join the police service fear that behind this there may be a plan to take ‘money for work’ from the companies that become the medium of outsourcing because it is not possible to ‘recover money’ from a government department through the back door in this way. As the basis of his allegation, he is giving the example of a private company making corona vaccine, to which the BJP, going against the rules, gave the contract to make the vaccine despite there being a government company making the vaccine and collected donations from it.’
BJP should not outsource the government itself
Akhilesh wrote, ‘The youth who are angry with the paper leak of the police recruitment exam have become even more angry with the news of such ‘outsourcing of police service’. This idea of outsourcing should be abandoned immediately and the youth of Uttar Pradesh should be given jobs through a direct recruitment process in a regular, fair and transparent manner. BJP may someday outsource the government itself.
