Lucknow. 2011 batch IAS officer Abhishek Singh now wants to work again. He has given an application to the Central Government’s Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) regarding his return to service, which was sent to the state government.
The state government has expressed disagreement on his return to service and has sent a recommendation report to the central government to reject the application.
Abhishek is a 2010 batch IAS officer and husband of Banda DM Durga Shakti Nagpal. He came into the limelight after making an album with film actress Sunny Leone. He resigned and asked for a ticket from BJP to contest the Lok Sabha elections from Jaunpur.
The BJP had fielded Kripashankar Singh from Jaunpur. Seeing that he did not have a political future, he gave an application to return to government service again.
According to sources, the state government did not agree to the application sent by the Center. The Appointment and Personnel Department has also sent its recommendation to the central government, rejecting his return to service.
