The groom’s family members immediately took her to a private hospital in Tikhampur, while the women of the groom’s house caught hold of the girl and started beating her, after which they took her to the police station.

After the incident, after getting treatment in a private hospital, he left for Shahpur Afga in Bilthra Road area with the wedding procession where he got married. The acid used in toilet cleaning has not caused much harm to his face.
After the incident, the girl remained sitting in the police station the whole night. Police Station Head Akhilesh Chandra Pandey said that no complaint has been received yet. There was an uproar regarding the matter till late evening.
