A PAC jawan posted at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex in Ayodhya was shot under suspicious circumstances. The injured soldier was referred to Lucknow Trauma Center with life support system. It is being told that the commando of 32 battalion PAC was cleaning his weapon AK-47. At the same time, a bullet was fired by mistake, which went through the chest of the PAC jawan.
IG Ayodhya Range Praveen Kumar, who reached the spot after getting information about the incident, said that the bullet fired accidentally passed through the jawan’s chest. However, it is not clear whether the bullet was fired from the weapon of the jawan himself or that of some other colleague. Investigation is being done regarding this.
According to initial information, the name of the PAC jawan is Ram Prasad (53). He was deployed in the security of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex. Suddenly he got shot on Tuesday evening. After being shot in the chest, his colleagues hurriedly admitted Ram Prasad to the Divisional Hospital, but seeing his condition as serious, the doctors referred Ram Prasad to Lucknow Trauma Center with life support system.

Injured commando Ram Prasad is a resident of Amethi, while his family lives in Lucknow. He was posted in 32nd Corps PAC. At present the exact information about how the bullet was fired at him is not available.
