New Delhi. Since making his debut in the Rajkot Test match, Sarfaraz Khan has been scoring runs continuously. After falling victim to Ben Stokes’ mind game in the fourth Test, Sarfaraz Khan returned on Friday and played another brilliant innings against the visiting team.
On the second day of the fifth Test in Dharamsala, Sarfaraz scored the third half-century of his Test career. Sarfaraz Khan played an inning of 56 runs in 60 balls. T20 King Suryakumar Yadav was very impressed by this batting ability of Mumbai. Surya shared Sarfaraz’s photo and praised him.
Suryakumar wrote- ‘The lion is hungry’
Sarfaraz middled 93 percent of the balls he faced during his innings and only three balls were beaten by him. Sharing a screenshot of that figure on his Instagram story, Suryakumar captioned it, ‘The lion is hungry.’
Suryakumar had inspired
Suryakumar has been a big supporter of Sarfaraz, as both the cricketers play for the same state team. It was Suryakumar who inspired Sarfaraz’s father Naushad to go to Rajkot to watch his son’s debut. Suryakumar had issued a voice note motivating him to go to Rajkot.
Sarfaraz’s father had revealed
In his voice note quoted by Sportstar, Surya had said that when I got the Test cap in Nagpur last year, my family was with me, it was a memorable moment for all of us. You have to be there. This was also revealed by Sarfaraz’s father.
