Noida. In village Bahlolpur of Kotwali Sector-63 area, a woman was murdered for dowry and the body was thrown in Harnandi. Three days later, the body was recovered from Ecotech-3 Kotwali area. The woman’s husband and her brother-in-law are accused of murder. The police have sent the body for post-mortem and have registered a case against the two brothers on the complaint of the deceased’s father.
Kotwali in-charge inspector Awadhesh Pratap said that Ajit of Kothi Nagla village of Aligarh district lives in village Bahlolpur of Kotwali area with his wife Kavita and one and a half year old son. He is a supervisor in a tailoring company located in Sector-63 area.
On February 18, Mihilal of Badaun informed that his daughter Kavita was missing since February 14. They suspect that her husband Ajit murdered her for dowry and threw her body somewhere. Based on the information, it was revealed that on February 17, a dead body of a woman was found in Harnandi located in Ecotech-3 Kotwali area.
When the police got the body identified, Mihilal and his family members identified the body as Kavita. After this, when the police took Ajit into custody and interrogated him, it was found that Kavita had committed suicide on the night of 14th February. After which he got scared.
He called his elder brother Raja Babu who lived in the neighbourhood. After this Ajit drove the bike and kept the dead body in the middle. Rajab Babu sat behind the bike holding the dead body. Both of them together threw Kavita’s body in Harnandi near Char Murti in Bisrakh police station area and slept after coming home.
Information given to in-laws after a day
On 15th February, Ajit called his in-laws house and informed that Kavita had gone somewhere angry. He also asked whether she had not reached Badaun, while her one and a half year old son was still with Ajit.
Searching for Kavita, people from her maternal side reached Noida and reached Ajit’s house in Aligarh. There, Ajit’s relatives were given complete information. Even after this, Ajit and his brother Raja Babu did not tell anything to anyone. Ajit behaved as if he had done nothing.
Inspector in-charge of the police station says that at present a case has been registered against Ajit and his brother Raja Babu under the sections of dowry death and destruction of evidence. The post mortem report will reveal whether Kavita committed suicide or was murdered. After that further action will be taken.
