New Delhi. Indian team’s star cricketer Rishabh Pant has got a second life after a road accident. He narrowly escaped a fatal car accident on December 30, 2022, while traveling from Delhi to Roorkee to meet his family. Rishabh Pant has also accepted this.
Pant said that he felt that his time in this world was over, but he was lucky. Rishabh thanked Rajat Kumar and Nishu Kumar, who pulled Pant out of the SUV, for saving his life.
Pant revealed the difficult recovery
Pant revealed his recovery while giving an interview on Star Sports’ Believe: To Death and Back. He described it as irritating and frustrating, but also said he had no other option. Now expected to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season, Pant has highlighted how difficult his recovery was.
‘For the first time I felt that life had ended’
Rishabh Pant said, for the first time in my life I felt such an emotion. I thought my time in this world was over. This was the first time I felt such an emotion in my life. At the time of the accident, I was aware of my injury, but I was lucky because it could have been much more serious,” Pant further said.
‘Separated from the world, I kept trying to make a comeback’
Pant said, “I am focused on recovery by being cut off from the world. It helps me recover faster, especially when the injury is so serious. For recovery you have to do the same thing every day. It is boring.” “It’s frustrating, it’s frustrating, but you have to do it.”
Been away from cricket for a year
He said this in an interview conducted in August last year. “Until I start playing cricket, I don’t want to plan too much for the future. I asked the doctor how long will it take for me to recover? He said it would take 16 to 18 months.
