New Delhi. Now once again the doors of the Supreme Court have been approached in the Gyanvapi case. The Hindu side has filed a petition in the Supreme Court. The Hindu side has demanded a survey of the place of seal. According to the petition filed, it has sought instructions to conduct an ASI survey of the Vajukhana without damaging the Shivalinga.
In May 2022, after a Shivalinga-like structure was found in Vajukhana, this place was sealed on the orders of the Supreme Court. The Hindu side considers it to be the original Shivalinga of Kashi Vishwanath. Now the Hindu side has demanded a survey of this sealed area.
Survey of many parts is necessary
ASI survey was definitely done in Gyanvapi, but there are many parts which could not be investigated. These also include the part of the basement below the peak of the building present there. If these are investigated, many important evidences will emerge which will be helpful in proving that Gyanvapi is a temple. This is what Vishnu Shankar Jain, the lawyer for the temple side in the Maa Shringaar Gauri case, has to say.
Adi Vishweshwar Temple Octagonal
Vishnu Shankar Jain says that according to the scriptures, the Adi Vishweshwar temple in Gyanvapi is octagonal. There was a sanctum sanctorum in the middle of it. After demolishing the temple, the present building was built on top of it. According to the proceedings of the Advocate Commissioner and the survey report of ASI, a large part under the building has been closed with walls, bricks and stones.
This claim was made in the report
ASI has written in its report that the GPR survey was conducted under the three domes of the existing building by experts of the National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI). The recent survey covered the South Hall, Southern Hall, Central Hall, Eastern Hall, North Hall and Northern Hall.
Facts revealed from 3D profile
Analysis of the data collected shows that three more layers are clearly visible along with a one meter thick layer on the ground of the northern hall and northern corridor. This layer is up to 0.5 meters thick in the central and southern parts. The 3D profile shows that debris lies beneath the layer. The high pile of debris is dome shaped. There is a geometry to the debris, which is like this broken foundation and tower.
Argha will be available in water tank also
The ASI map shows five basements in the east-north direction and three in the east-south direction in half of the complex. The status of the western half has not been clarified. There is said to be debris in this part only, over which there are rooms in the building. Two stairs are seen going downwards in the west-south and west-east parts, but they have also been closed further. In this way, access to the lower half of the present building is closed.
