Balrampur. 78-year-old Dr. SP Yadav, founder member of Samajwadi Party and Gansdi MLA, died at Medanta Hospital in Haryana at 8 am on Friday. He had been MLA four times and minister twice. There has been a wave of mourning in the district due to his demise.
His name is included among the founding members of SP. He was posted as Associate Professor of Chemistry in MLK College. Elder son Rakesh Yadav told that Dr. Shiv Pratap Yadav had been the district president of Lok Dal and SP many times. He had been MLA from Gansadi assembly constituency of the district in 1993, 1997, 2012 and 2022.
Was close to Mulayam Singh
Dr. SP Yadav was considered very close to Mulayam Singh. People also called him Gandhi of Terai. The last rites will be performed on January 27 at 11 am at Sisai Ghat of Rapti River. People from all political parties have expressed grief over his demise.
CM Yogi expressed grief
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over the demise of the SP MLA. He said in an X- “The demise of Dr. Shiv Pratap Yadav, Honorable MLA of Gansadi Assembly Constituency of Uttar Pradesh is very sad. My condolences are with the bereaved family. Lord Shri Ram may the departed soul rest at His feet and May the bereaved family be given the strength to bear this loss.”
Akhilesh Yadav expressed grief
SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has expressed condolences on the demise of Shiv Pratap Yadav. He wrote in X – “Demise of Dr. Shiv Pratap Yadav, SP MLA from Gasdi assembly of Balrampur, very sad! May God grant peace to the departed soul. Deepest condolences to the bereaved family.”
