The shameful act of a constable has come to light in Basti, Uttar Pradesh. It is alleged that the constable was threatening a mutton seller sitting in the market and demanding free mutton. When the mutton seller refused to give it for free, the accused constable created a ruckus. Someone present at the spot made a video of this incident with his mobile phone and posted it on social media. After this video went viral, Basti SP took cognizance and put the accused constable on the line.
Orders have been given to conduct a departmental inquiry into the matter. The matter is near the roadways at Basti district headquarters. It is being told that two days ago, constable Amit Singh, posted in the city police station, came to a chicken mutton shop located near the roadways to buy mutton. There was a lot of crowd at the shop at that time. In such a situation, the constable left all the customers and asked him to give him the mutton first. He even got into an argument with the customers regarding this matter.
Uproar over asking for money for mutton
After this, when the shopkeeper weighed the mutton, the accused constable refused to pay the money. In such a situation the shopkeeper refused to give him mutton. Due to this, the constable started creating ruckus on the spot. Even threatened to send the shopkeeper to jail. Coincidentally, a customer present at the spot made a video of this constable’s act and posted it on social media.
SP made his appearance
Within no time, this video went so viral that it caught the attention of SP Basti Gopalkrishna Choudhary and he took immediate action and put the accused constable on the line. He told that a departmental inquiry is being conducted in this matter. Whatever facts emerge in this, further action will be taken accordingly.
