Lucknow. Yogi government has announced complete ban on liquor in Panchkosi Parikrama area of Ayodhya. Excise Minister Nitin Aggarwal said that the sale of liquor has been completely banned in Panchkosi Parikrama area in Ramnagari. All the shops have been removed from the route. However, he also admitted that Panchkosi Marg was already declared a prohibition area but due to the addition of some new wards in the Parikrama area, now the entire area has been completely banned.
‘The importance of faith in Ayodhya is more than revenue’
Nitin Aggarwal said that faith in Ayodhya is more important for us than revenue. Prohibition of liquor will help in keeping the spiritual identity of the area intact. Let us tell you that Minister Nitin Aggarwal had first announced a complete liquor ban in 84 Kosi Parikrama area of Ayodhya on Thursday morning.
Liquor ban limited to Panchkosi
This was affecting Ayodhya as well as neighboring districts. After assessing the profit and loss of revenue, the Excise Minister changed his statement and limited the liquor ban to Panch Kosi only.
